Olmsted Travel Baseball Association (OTBA)

OTBA is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of Ohio. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for players to participate in a more competitive level of baseball than what a community recreation program offers. OTBA has teams in various age groups for youths within the Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Township community and is designed to participate in competitive travel baseball leagues. While the program promotes a high level of baseball, the intent is to create a positive experience for both players and parents.

OTBA is affiliated with several leagues.

Cuyahoga Valley Baseball Association (CVBA)

CVBA is for players aged 8 through 16 possessing the highest degree of talent. These players are identified through a player evaluation process. The time commitment necessary is higher than that required for Hot Stove or Puritas Premier. Teams will play games throughout northeast Ohio (generally from Amherst to west, Ashland to the south, and Copley to the east). CVBA is not an instructional league. Players should possess a strong knowledge of baseball rules and whose skills allow them to play at a very high competitive level. Teams typically practice during the winter months. A typical season consists of 18 – 24 regular season games, a year-end league tournament, and up to 15 private tournament games. CVBA teams participate in fundraising. The season begins in late April and ends in mid-July. All teams follow the rules set forth by the CVBA organization.  Player evaluations are going to take place a week or two after the completion of their season.
